Looks like supply is getting scarce or just because of bigger demand.  Bidders price is now 90/kg.

Hi doc how would a person ship hogs from davao to high end markets in manila?Would if be worth the trouble?

I think it is not worth it, you need to get a permit to transport live animals and then you need to pay for the shipment,  then land transportation pa.

that what we here are doing but you need 90 hds for 1 hog van. the more hds you ship the lesser the cost

Hindi ba problem ang mga government men? Medyo yun mga under the tables?

wala naman problema sa hog farmer. i dont know sa viajero side naman kasi once nilabas na nila ang baboy sa farm cargo na ng viajero lahat ang expenses pati dead pig sa truck it's there loss already. Gensan (including tacurong, uppervalley n cotabato) sell 45 to 50,000 hds a month to visayas and luzon. all are ship out

there's no problem shipping hog from gensan to any part of the country.its already 50 years old trading . 45 to 50,000 hds a month is based on gov't statistics. this including backyard and commercial farm.by the way gensan is second biggest hog producer in the country the 1st one is bulacan ,manila
