Capital for swine business depends in the number of sow or pigs you want to raise. Older studies suggest that capital for 1 sow is around 40thousand. This include housing, animal etc. To be safe adjust this to 50t per sow.This computation is up to the time the animal will become pregnant, farrowed and your piglet be sold.

If you intend to keep your piglet and raise it as a slaughter  hog you need an additional 3500-4200 per animal for feeds and around 2000t per animal for pen construction.

Better is meron kang inahin then ikaw na rin magpalaki kung sakali di mo kayang palakihin benta mo, pero kung kakayanin maganda ikaw na rin magpalaki.

Usual consumption nila is around 200-250 kgs of feeds

Hi Po, I'm also planning to go into the fattening business pero since zero knowledge, i plan to start small around 5 - 10 heads.  Can i also have a copy of the FS as well as guidelines on the correct pen design for 5 pigs?
