Quality of Roughage & Protein Level needed in the Concentrate:

-Poor Quality-dry wild grasses,corn fooder,millet,wheat or rice straw.protein needed is 24%.
-Fair Quality-wheat or rice bran,late cuttings of legume (without the leaves),silage from grass or corn,protein needed is 20%.
-Good Quality-some legumes,good pasture.protein needed is 16%.
-Excellent Quality-excellent fertilized pasture containing some legumes,protein needed is 14%.
Low Protein-corn,corn cob meal,wheat,oats,barley and millet.
Medium Protein-wheat bran and rice polishings.
High Protein-copra meal,brewers spent grains,legumes.
Very High Protein-soybean oil meal,dried milk,meat,bone or blood meal.
