Broiler Contract grower
« on: May 31, 2007, 03:42:34 PM »

Some ask for a minimum of 5t heads. In terms of pen some ask for a tunnel ventilated housing althought there is still some which do allow simple housing.

Contract growing company:, swift, bountyfresh, vitarich, and san miguel.

I will PM you a email address. She is a very good friend of mine working with one of the company above.

Good day Nemo,

Do you have the contact numbers or website contacs for the above mentioned companies?  We cannot seem to find them.  We were able to locate the Vitarich, but not the others?

Also, do you know if any of the mentioned companies has growers in the San Fabian, Pangasinan area? My wifes family has land located there. We are not sure if they would deliver feeds there.

Thank you in advance

I don't know whether it is by the kilo na. What most of the contract grower do is that they give additional if you have surpassed their target weight and fcr. Usually they will give a target and if you attained that they will pay you by the bird ex. 8-10 pesos per bird. And if you exceeded that they will pay additional.

In livestock, one of the main problem is market. To know the market and buyers you have to go to the nearest market and ask around. You must know what is the current liveweight, biyahero's in the area etc.  You could also ask near by poultry raiser's  if they can give contact's. You could also ask feed dealers.

You could also market it directly to restaurant. be the middleman and the raiser at the same time.

Good day, Doc.
I am interested to become a contract grower. Problem is, I am not ready financially to invest in a ventilated tunnel chicken house. Is the ventilated tunnel housing a requirement? Or could I build a traditional one?
My projected area is in Leyte. Thanks.
