Hello, hog prices would always vary weekly and depending on an area.

If liveweight in farm is around 80-86, backyard is around 70-75 at this time.

Usually deadweight is around 95-105 pesos.

Boy,some of you guys are lucky,I realize we are remote but the prices we are getting is really wrong, maybe getting taken it from the in-laws,maybe they pocket the difference??going to have to check into this more.

If you're area is  remote there are some biyahero's that will offer low price because they will compensate for the transportation.

Supply and demand plus geography plays a big role in this situation.

i think we play the major role in hog price. kapag bumaba ang presyo kanya kanya tayo pa bilisan ng bagsak ng presyo hindi mo masisi ang buyer. what if all of hog raiser will have a standard price or ceiling price (high/low) para may guide tayo in selling.

That would be a double edge sword.

To be able to do that atleast 50% of your municipality should participate to be able to get hold on to the supply side.

The next best thing to do is to organize your barangay to select one biyahero to buy your produce at a farm price. In return your baranggay will only sell to him.
