this is only 1 method of making ummb, there are many different ways of making ummb, this is  a composition for this method.Ummb is used in goat, sheep and cattle farming, goat farmers use ummb during the rainy season with a broad spectrum dewormer as a part of their management system for controlling worms, goats are generally not given the dewormer medicine at first but later on as they get use to the ummb sticks that hang in their barn.Personally we are not using these ummb sticks because our herd is already on a maintance system, know that these ummb sticks work well for native goats held in confinement, having used them in the past.
One mixes all the ingredients on a clean floor, mix well together, roll out like a stick of bamboo, one can make them a few inches round, when dried hang them in the goats barn and they will lick at them, make the first 1 with no dewormer, after the goats are use to it,make the next ones with no bone meal, add the dewormer instead, feed during the rainy season.
molasses-30-50%
urea-5-10%
bran-15-25%
copra meal-10-20%
salt-5-7%
bonemeal-5-7%------broad spectrum dewormer
minerals-1-2% (lime)
cement-5-10% as the binder
molasses provides vitamins
bran provides phosphorus,trace minerals,vitamins
oil seed meal provides phosphorus, soluble and nonsoluble proteins
bonemeal, salt.minerals provides much othe macro mineral requirements.
urea provides small amounts of extra nitrogen
cement acts as a binder holding everything together.

the use of medicated urea molasses blocks (mummb) to control gastrointestinal parasites in goats was tested.Mummb was considered a valuable approach to worm control, together with other management practices, because it involves less stress in handling the animals than administering deowrmers. The mummb is a feed supplement block enriched with non-protein nitrogen from urea, minerals, energy from molasses, rice bran and 0.75 grams/kg. Fenbendazole (dewormer)
