One problem us goat/sheep producers face in this business enterprise,is well trained vets willing to enter the field of goat/sheep raising, noticed that on some of the Govt. Farms they are managed by vets. Most of us have to rely on the local vets in our area(s),that must have some general knowledge on the different animals raised in that area.Young vets should consider a field in goat/sheep care as the Philippines is a top producer of goats in Asia. There is a strong in country market for goat meat and export potential. The future looks bright for those wishing to enter the goat business, hope some young vets will follow into this line of practice.
