Goats born without horns are known as,Polled. It is never a wise or good idea to have polled and horned rutting bucks together in the same pasture durning the rutting season.A goats horns work like a radiator, helping to remove heat from a goats body.Polled goats have no radiators.Bucks in a pasture may select a buck to chase, harrass and mount,as they practice their mating techniques.A polled buck may die from a heat stroke, relating to sexual harrassment by horned bucks.A polled buck will have a low ranking order in a goat herd.
