Thank you for posting.

To give you and idea ang production po nila sa current volume ng kanilang inahin is 15 pig sold per month dapat. Pero magsisimula ito after 9 months pa po. Kung kakabili palang nila ng inahin kailangan pa ng halos 4 months para ito ay mabuntis(assuming ready to breed na ang  kanilang nabili) at manganak then another 5 months para mabenta ito as fattener.

Usual range po ng kita kada baboy is from 1000 pesos to 2000.

I would try to send you a simple ROI just give me time po medyo busy lang.

I do believe that If you believe you can and have faith in God you will succeed.

I have bought 10 sow it cost me 136k and also i rent a land which cost me 8k per month. Could you compute when would be my return of investment ? Is it advisable to rent a land because i do not have my own... i want to have a big farm someday.

In theory the return of investment is 2-3 years.

Although it is difficult to compute because we are dealing with livestock and the variability of piglet born and sold per month.

TO give you an idea. At your current volume you should average 15 pig sold per month. But in your case it would start maybe in about 9 months. If you only acquired your sow now it would take almost 4 moths of pregnancy and another 5 months of rearing the pig before you can sell it.

Usual range of profit per pig is around 1000-2000 pesos. So if you can sell 15 per month that is a 22500 profit.

From that amount subtract your 8k rent, usually a raiser do not rent an area because he have his own.

IT is better to have your own land. It is difficult to expand your building if you do not own the land. What if one day the owner needed the land. Then you will be burdened to create another building to house your animal.

May i know where you bought your sow. So, i can add it to the list of commercial farm located in the advertisement section.

I would try to send you a simple ROI just give me time po medyo busy lang

Im located at imus, cavit... agriculture farm. 3 sows are already pregnant and the other are ready to heat. the sows  came from jan jan farm and 3 from OJ Haro (imus cavite) tthey said the sow is top of the line quality. and they are pure white and huge. May location has a capacity of 300, it has cage for farrowing and gestating. If my business grows at anytime i can create cage/pen and there are still vacant lot behind my farm. but for sure rent will go high. Is their a possibilty that i would be succesful? .... it is my dream to have a piggery, thousand of pigs.

The success of the business depends on the person managing it.

I do believe that If you believe you can and have faith in God you will succeed.

The bright side about raising pigs today is that because of the outbreak that happen in bulacan and neuva ecija prices of slaughtered hogs will go up from november until summer. Just hope there would be no smuggled pork.

So, it a promising christmas and new year for swine raiser.

can I request for the contact details and exact address of the farm you mentioned.

Dr. Nemo,I do think that is alot of money to spend on sows, large white, they must be purebreds, one would expect to get papers with the sows for that kind of money, one takes the risk and hopes the sows will be top producers like their mothers, its a risk ?a man who never took a chance, had a chance.  Good Day To You                      mikey

Mikey usually sow that range from 12t upward is purebreed or hybrid and yes they provide data regarding the animal. And most of the time they provide warranty that if the sow continues to reheat and does not conceive they they will replace it.

I would say it is an investment rather than a risk.

Nowadays 12t sow is the cheapest purebreeds you can find. some sow would cost you up to 35-60t.
