To be able to achieved targets in broiler you must always consider the ffg.

1. Purchased good quality chicks in a highly reputable hatchery (differentiate it from class A to C).
   - as a general rule class A chicks produce good chicken during hauling provided with good management and disease-free chicks (vaccination and medication program given by your veterinarian),.

2.Purchased high quality feeds to achieve optimum performance of the chicks.
  - low-dense feeds produce smaller chicks than high dense provided that purchased feeds contain tolerable level of mycotoxins that is very important in broiler production in terms of health of the flock.

3. Good Farm management specially during brooding period.
   - most critical period for broiler wherein it can affect over all performance of the farm. Farm management usually are based on the experiences and given by your farm manager and or veterinarian.

4. farm management includes:

bio-security including proper way of disinfection in vehicles, visitors.
farm cleaning/ disinfection after hauling (must be at least 14 days).
brooding management.
feeding/ watering program.
vaccination/medication program.
lightning program.

5. proper housing/building design to achieved maximum performance of feeds and chicks.

    these includes:

proper orientation of the poultry building ( east to west direction).
this will lessen direct sunlight among   flock.

    proper floor spacing.
this is important to minimize loss especially during later stage of production.

    proper ventilation inside the building.
this is important for prevention of heat stroke during finisher stage.

    proper lightning inside the building.
this will to stimulate the birds to eat for faster growth.

6. proper management during harvest time.
always considered that mortality could increase during brooding stage especially at age between 1 to 14 is critical wherein, adjustment in temperature changes, vaccine and medication reactions occur, and during harvest time  at age between 28 to 35 is very critical in every cycle, it could increase through poor ventilation, poor feeding program at this critical stage, poor preventive measures during booster to starter stage.

for jerckat23

it is not advisable to raise broiler at different age in one pen
1ft square/ bird so so 200 square foot for 200 broilers
feed type are the ffg.:
chick booster 1- 12 days
chicks starter 13-26 days
