    im Bonjo from negros, id like to to ask if we vaccinate sows on their 90th day of gestation against mycoplasma hyo pneumoniae, Is the litter to be farrowed included on that vaccination? or do we still have the piglets vaccinated?

you still need to vaccinate the piglet. No lasting immunity will be transfered to them  so you need give vaccine to have lasting immunity

thank you doc.. is it okay to keep a left over vaccine and use it for future vaccination? whats the ideal temp in storing vaccines?

Usually yun mga killed vaccine, nareref pa.

yung mga live like hog cholera hindi na po.

Ref temperature lang po.

Doc merun po nakapagsabi  sa amin na ang hog cholera vaccines eh hindi na pwede i ref temp need daw po ubusin, hindi na daw pwede gamitin on the next day, totoo po ba ito

thanks doc, whats the proper age for hog cholera vaccination? sa pestvac at coglapest kasi on 42nd and 56th day, others on 14th and 28th. some said on 21st and 35th.

good day doc, followup question lng po regarding killed vaccine. pfizer product kasi gamit ko na vaccines. ang parvovirus vaccine lng ang may nakalagay na killed virus sa label. does it mean that others such as litterguard, respisure and flusure hindi sya killed?

@erick, live kasi yun kaya hindi na nireref...


@bonz, yun nabanggit naman i do believe may nakalagay sa label na store at 2-7 degrees,, meaning ref temperature...

Sa simpleng tingin without reading the label:

Yun usual na hindi na nireref is yung may diluent/ distilled water na kasama

Kpag kulay puti siya /milky color mas malamang na pwede siyang iref... ;D ;D ;D

thanks.. ano po ba ang withdrawal period ng hcv? plano ko kasi ibenta yung one replacement gilt hindi kasi pantay yung koko sa hind legs. navaccinate kona ito ng hcv nung aug 18.

Nakaindicate po un sa mga medicine containers ang withdrawal period po.

Sharing lng po. Gamit ko po is from merial, pestiffa ung name ng product nila. It can be administered to piglets 3 weeks of age as per merial vet's suggestion.

@ bonz, ang term na withdrawal period is more applicable sa antibiotic rather than sa bakuna.
