Sounds like an interesting project. In some areas of the country, native hogs have been pushed aside over the white hogs in the belief, production is paramount.Native hogs make perfect pasture hogs and would require less inputs if their production levels could be increased.Native hogs(boars) crossed with the American black hog(sows) might make the ultimate organic pasture hog along with better than average production over the native hogs alone.

Best of luck with your project.
