Broiler Chickbooster ph1235-1345
Broiler Starter         ph1315-1415
Broiler Finisher         ph1280-1380

price of feeds are always depends on:

1).manufacturers

2).Quality (its either low end or high end feeds)

3). and locations (due to trucking service issues)

vaccination programs are depends in your location, total broiler population, common disease history in your farm, common disease encountered last 3 consecutive production and chicks source (hatchery) so we can design specific vaccination program for your farm. give the details and i can design vaccination program for your farm.

POULTRY / how to control flies and minimize odor in the farm
« on: April 06, 2013, 01:19:36 PM »
to control flies

1, Rainy season will be the most high frequency of flies multiplication and farm odor could increase that could cause problems in neighboors, depending on the farm practise, feed formula, and most of the time
regional reasons among the top reason, building design especially building orientation will also highly contribute in such problems.

how to control flies?

1, flies control can conrol tru

- blocking the development of larvae ( some drug can give directly to the feeds so that it could react immidiately on chikcs feces.

- direct killing of adult flies tru spray on the floors, feces (but avoid too much spraying on chicks feces, it could increase moisture that will also increase farm odor.

odor control

-some feed formula has deodorizer that could decrease farm odor, some were using live microorganism to decrease converion of ammonia in the farm that decrease odor,

- odor can also control by proper farm waste management

POULTRY / Re: tips in selecting good quality feeds
« on: February 13, 2013, 05:02:04 PM »

always remember that feeds quality are always change based on the external factors especially weather condition. from different country.

1). Survey your area on what feeds is mostly use by raisers/ farmers.
so that you have an idea on its performance.

2). Upon delivery of the feeds check the production date so that you are sure that your feeds is
     always fresh.

3). If the delivered feeds is pelleted or crumble always check the percent of fines too much of it could affect feeds consumed, thus target weight is also affected.

4). Check for aroma some farm owner believes that aroma of the feed could increase feed consume.

5). Check the size of pelleted feeds size could also affect the feeds consumption.

6). Always check the reaction of your flock in feeds thru feeds refusal, wet drops, and FCR. but always remember feeds are not always liable for this reaction, check for any factors like management during brooding, weather, bacterial or viral infections, of mostly nutritional incompatibilities or over dosage.

7). Have a regular monitoring especially in toxin levels of the feeds.

8). if possible add corn in your finisher to ensure growth and lessen your cost usually at least 30 percent corn grits plus your 70 percent finisher feeds.

POULTRY / Re: considerations for poultry business
« on: February 08, 2013, 02:19:55 PM »
To be able to achieved targets in broiler you must always consider the ffg.

1. Purchased good quality chicks in a highly reputable hatchery (differentiate it from class A to C).
   - as a general rule class A chicks produce good chicken during hauling provided with good management and disease-free chicks (vaccination and medication program given by your veterinarian),.

2.Purchased high quality feeds to achieve optimum performance of the chicks.
  - low-dense feeds produce smaller chicks than high dense provided that purchased feeds contain tolerable level of mycotoxins that is very important in broiler production in terms of health of the flock.

3. Good Farm management specially during brooding period.
   - most critical period for broiler wherein it can affect over all performance of the farm. Farm management usually are based on the experiences and given by your farm manager and or veterinarian.

4. farm management includes:

bio-security including proper way of disinfection in vehicles, visitors.
farm cleaning/ disinfection after hauling (must be at least 14 days).
brooding management.
feeding/ watering program.
vaccination/medication program.
lightning program.

5. proper housing/building design to achieved maximum performance of feeds and chicks.

    these includes:

proper orientation of the poultry building ( east to west direction).
this will lessen direct sunlight among   flock.

    proper floor spacing.
this is important to minimize loss especially during later stage of production.

    proper ventilation inside the building.
this is important for prevention of heat stroke during finisher stage.

    proper lightning inside the building.
this will to stimulate the birds to eat for faster growth.

6. proper management during harvest time.
always considered that mortality could increase during brooding stage especially at age between 1 to 14 is critical wherein, adjustment in temperature changes, vaccine and medication reactions occur, and during harvest time  at age between 28 to 35 is very critical in every cycle, it could increase through poor ventilation, poor feeding program at this critical stage, poor preventive measures during booster to starter stage.

POULTRY / Re: Guide for 6000 chicks broiler production for 2013
« on: February 08, 2013, 02:09:16 PM »
Poultry Farming for small scale operation 6000 heads of broilers

Factors to be considered:

Target:

To get 1.6kg at 33 days.
55 bags as your allotted feeds for 1000 broilers.
 FCR of 1.76.
 Mortality 3%

Inputs:

This will not include building cost ranging from 110-130/ bird for conventional type or  400-500 pesos per bird for tunnel ventilated buildings.

Day old chicks price - ph23/chick.

55 bags (booster, starter, finisher feeds) with average price of ph1330.

Rent for building- 3.50/bird

brooding cost- .70ph/bird

Cost of medication/ vaccination - 1ph/bird bird.

Electricity, water,fuel - 1ph/ bird.

Labor and food- (.60/bird labor) and (food .40/bird)= ph1/bird

note: for 5000-6000 heads = 1 care taker
1 for day shift 7am-5pm
1 for night shift 5pm-1am

Basic assumption on 6000 chick (Broiler)

day-old-chicks (DOC)          ph23*6000=      138000

 feeds                             ph1300*55*6 =   429000

medication/Vac                  ph1*6000 =        6000

electricity/water,fuel          ph 1*6000=         6000

Trucking(hauling)-              ph2.50/bird =      14550 if your mortality is 3% then total heads is 5820    (for 1st 50km) upto the dressing plant

misc.                                ph1*6000=         6000

Labor       2 person            3500/grow=         7000

Food        2person at 90/day for 35 days=      6300

rent for building at 3.50/bird/grow =               21000

Total cost                                                 633850

Output:

Total heads harvested- 5820
Avg. weight- 1.6

97% HR -       5820*1.6kg= 9312kg (total kg LW produced)

9312kg* 75 ph/kg LW (assuming price of LW is 75 pesos) = 698400 total price of LW

698400 (total sales)- 633850 (expenses)  =                     64550 income from sale of LW

Income from sack and fertilizers=                                   6580

Total net income=                                                       71130

cost to grow/kg   = 68 pesos

other income

sale of sack= 8ph/sack
sale of feces as fertilizers= 25ph/sack (in every 1000 chick there will be approx. of 20 bags of fertilizers)

so

385 sack (55bags/k*7 population)*8ph= 3080
25*140 (total feces for 7k population)= 3500

Total                                               6580
