Title: Dressing Percentage of Hogs
Post by: FarmerMan on September 18, 2013, 05:59:05 PM
I'm thinking of selling pork instead of selling live. Mga hanggang dalawang ulo kada linggo lang naman. Sana may makapagbigay payo kung ano-ano ang mga bagay na dapat alamin upang makapagpasya sa bagay na ito. Ilan sa mga naisip ko ay ang mga sumusunod:

1. Marketing
Mas maraming kausap, iba-ibang parte iba-ibang presyo, mas maraming tao, special skills,
2. Storage and Transportation
Kailangan pa ng refrigeration, mas maikling shelf life,
3. Pagsingil sa Pautang
4. Sanitation or Food Safety
5.

With all the additional hassles, how much more revenues can be earned selling pork instead of live hogs?

What's the dressing percentage or meat recovery?

I tried other internet sites but these are mostly from first world experiences and studies.
