Nope, i don't have a farm. Standard na po siya as to my knowledge.
Actually my brother have a semi commercial farm around 40-50 sow lang siya for 2 years in his fattening section i only remembered around 10 deaths. Although mortality in farrowing to weaning is high around maybe 15 percent.
except this year on which they have so many mortality because of the outbreak.

Bigger farm tends to have lower production say in 500 sow it would produce tentatively around 625 piglet per month but cost to produce tends to be much lower also.
To get the number of pigs per month multiple the number of sow by 1.5
100 sow x 1.5 =150 pigs per month
some bigger farms multiple the sow by 1.25
1.5 is the standard used in computation.

a 100 sow farm will produce 150 fatteners per month. yeah average na yan or 1800 pig per year.
Mortality less than 10% sa piglets/nursing
and less than 6 percent sa fattening stage.
doc anu po ang ibig sabihin nito?di ba ang isang inahin eh,kayang manganak ng higit sampu?bkit sa 100 sow,150 fatteners lang?mejo confused lang po ako..thank you

150 fatteners is the target per month only. Although you have 100 sows not all will farrow that particular month.
Example: Out of the 100 sow only 80% will get pregnant and say the farrowing rate is 2.3 and the number of pig born let say 11.
80*2.30*11=2024/12 months =168 per month- 10% mortality= 152 pigs per month. This is just an assumption. Just to give you some idea.
