SIDC sa Batangas city ang "distributor" ng gilts ng Nueva Swine Valley, pero hindi kayo puedeng dumeretso sa kanila. You have to be referred by Nueva Swine. Kontakin ninyo si Ago Alico of Nueva Swine Valley, 09287818256,09326437103. Pero ang sabi niya sa akin last time nacontact ko siya, wala raw boars ang Nueva sa SIDC. Sa Iloilo pa galing ang mga boars.

A blessed day, gentlemen. i'm Paolo, an office employee residing in Pampanga & i'm very much interested in this DBS system. I've started my backyard piggery this year as a second source of income. I started with 7 fatteners, sold 6 of them & decided to keep the one female pig para ipa AI at paanakan. My pig pen has an inclined concrete flooring & relatively small (approximately 2m X 4m) & i would like to ask some advise to convert it into DBS, whether to remove the concrete flooring, or to push thru in putting the recommended apportionment of the rice hull/sand, etc or if it would be ideal to expand it. Since we also have mango trees in our area, is it advisable to use mango leaves as bedding? Also does DBS really prevent/reduce the pig odor/smell occurence? I'm also wary of neighbors who would complain due to the smell, especially when the time comes when the sow would give birth by Jan 2011. During the time of the 7 fatteners, i got some complaint (from 1 neighbor) about the smell, although i've been religiously keeping the pigpen clean (using the "dakot system) & kami mismo, wala naman kami naaamoy. Is there a certain "radius" or periphery" so that the pig smell would not reach the neighbors? Looking forward to your advice as this will really be a big help. My deepest appreciation. - Paolo

DBS can reduce the smell.
You can put it on top naman ng kanilang concrete floor.
If you want to use mango leaves you need to dry it first.
Problematic po talaga kapag near kayo sa kapitbahay.

assuming na 2000 pesos ang price ng biik ng 10 kgs, every succeding kilo would be base na sa liveweight ng slaughter pig. Kung kukuha kayo ng 20 kgs na piglet -10 kgs (2000 pesos) = 10 kgs x 80 = 800 ang total ay 2800 pesos for a 20 kilo piglet.

I agree with you Doc. Hitting the 95kilogram weight is too diffficult to attain in 3 months.
Guys, in case you need a boar to breed your sows or gilt, i have one Duroc boar for sale. It's a 1 and a half year old junior boar, I'm selling it coz I still have 1 boar in our farm so if you want to have one, please just email me. Thank you.
