Hi Doc, very interesting website. Thanks to you, I have some idea on what to expect from pig farming. I would like a copy of the FS if its possible, please send it to jumo777@gmail.com

BTW, do we have any local website that shows who are the interested buyers of piglets or pigs? Like a agri trade website, where people buy and sell stuff  Smiley

Thanks in advance.

good evening doc, i have learned so much from reading your forums. the thing is, I'm quite interested in starting a swine raising business(a commercial one), what type of swine raising do you suggest i undertake? the farrowing-fattening method or the purely fattening method? as i've read the simple ROI that you have sent to me, i was wondering, do i sell the pigs after 4 months? or after 150 days or 5 months? may i also request for a simple ROI for a farrowing type of hog raising. thanks. IF you will be a commercial raising you should produce your own piglets. So better go with farrowing to fattening. You will sell the pigs in 4 months assuming you bought the piglets outside. But if it is your own piglets / from your own sow it would take 5 months before you can sell it. Upon birth the piglet would stay with its mother for 1 month and you will wean it and feed it for another 4 months before you can harvest it.

thank you doc, i have already received the email you sent me. is it recommendable to start at around a 24 sow level fattener production? how much does the building usually cost if it is for a 24 sow level fattener production? also, can i purchase a 85 kg gilt from a reputable farm and with AI make it farrow?  Huh, thanks for the help.

7.  Meron bang technitian o kaya beterinaryo kayong pwedeng mapuntahan sa panahong may problema kayo sa inyong baboy.

good day doc nemo!
buti na lang i came across this site which is very informative.
ask lang po sana ako ng Feasibility Study about swine raising, other pertinent info about the business.
my father actually has a small piggery in calauan, laguna pero hindi na operational ngayon.
gusto ko po sana i try yung negosyo pero sana makakuha muna ako ng mga mahahalagang information kung babagay ba sakin yung negosyo or hindi.

my email is: ryce.gapit@gmail.com

salamat po in advance! Smiley
