Hi Doc,
Ask lang po, 6 and a half months na kasi yung gilt ko but no sign of heat pa. Normal lang po ba yun?
Meron po kayang drugs or vits na pampalandi?
Thanks

It is not that late yet.
Check regularly baka silent heater siya.
In terms of vitamins, ADE would do.
at early age giving hormone for forced estrus is not advisable. So, stick with vitamins lang muna.

You need to apply back pressure everyday. To see if she is in standing heat.
Usually a sow in heat will have reddening of the vulva , mucus discharge, urinating frequently, standing frequently etc... in silent all the above mentioned are not visible but she will stand still when mounted/ applied back pressure.
Also another possibility you could do to induce heat is to get "laway" saliva of a boar or a sow which is in heat and try to wipe it in pen of the gilt. The hormones from this "laway" would hopefully trigger the animal to go into heat.

Tama si doc apply boar teasing para mainduce yung paglalandi nya. If you can get boar para makita yung gilt mo eh mas maganda po(touch sound and smell). But be sure to disinfect the boar before mo dalhin sa gilt.
