Title: large breed of native hogs
Post by: ruffneck on February 13, 2009, 01:02:27 PM
hi guys, on my recent trip to a friend in casiguran, aurora nakakita kami ng mga native hogs. ang lalaki nila kala mo hindi native pero one cannot argue that they are not kasi hahaba ng snout nila, black kulay pero ung iba parang hypor kc pinkish. ang tibay ng adaptability nila considering n limited ung sources ng pagkain dun. ung isa nga inabutan namin s fishpond nangangapa ng kuhol. sabi nila dun average daw ng native dun adult weight 120 to 130 kgs.talagang organic sila parang mag kalabaw nakasuga lang maghapon.

This is not native.
We call this chopsuy. They are mixed breed whether landrace, largewhite, black dalland, berkshire, hampshire etc.

The snout is normal/ regular for its size.

Black ang native natin at around 50- 60 kg lang siya. And ang dede ay ms kaunti. Yun mga native around visaya region around 3 pairs of teats lang.

Thanks for sharing your photos.
