BULTUHANG BENTAHAN NG BIIK VS. TIMBANGAN

tanong ko lang po doc sa experience po ninyo sa bentahan ng biik saan po ba mas kumikita ang breeder sa bultuhang bentahan ng biik na less than 10kg (even price para sa malaki/maliit) o sa timbangan 10kg pataas + excess?

some say mas mataas daw po sa timbangan dahil napapaabot ito ng 25kg + excess pero on contrary tumataas din naman ang feed intake at feed expenses nito. some say mas maganda na 1 week pagkawalay ibenta na ang biik sa bultuhan (even price) at wala pa itong gaanong nagastos sa feeds?

Would depend kasi sa area.

Example in some part of bulacan a 7 day weaned pig would cost 1800 and this maybe is around 7-9 kg. In some area it would cost only 1500.

If it is 1800 and bultuhan then it is a good deal but if they will pay you 1500 only, you need to think twice and compute your expenses.

Also consider the market situation. If there is limited supply of piglets you could charge more.

You could try to create your own matrix. Example, if the pig is less than 40 day old you will sell it by bultuhan and if it is more than 40-day old you will sell it by weight basis.

ganon po ba.sidc offers me only 1300 for first 10kg+70 excess and only 1300 for less than 10 thats the maximum they can go. i sold it to private piggery owner sa 1550 each bultuhan malaki/maliit - age 35 to 45 days old.  i am not sure kung talo ako sa nabenta kong biik.its amazing ang prize gap here in mindoro if bulacan price has gone up to 1800 per 7-9kg. it would be better then to transport biik and sell to areas with high market price

Bulacan is near sa metro manila. Kaya mataas price ng baboy.

Transfering it naman would mean permit etc... so in the end baka malugi ka.
