Doc, thanks for the info:prices moving up slowly, wondering if these prices are for the natives??upgrades must be worth more, have red on the net that 140 pesos a kilo is the asking price for good quality meat goats, think they were talking about better quality stock.

I think it is for both native and upgraded.

Yeah some areas is the 100 pesos/kg price.

IT is the total average of our country farm gate price.

market wise hindi pa ganun ka laganap ang goat at the same time hindi pa din ganun kalaki ang competition unlike sa swine.

Hope so your cooperative could find a buyer for goat.  This would help small farmers very much.

Doc,I have found that there is really no set price for the selling of good quality goats.Seems that farms have their own asking prices.Personally we have paid over the years,200 pesos per kilo for fullbloods anglos,350 pesos per kilo for percentage boer buckling.Fullblood boers for 20,000.00 for painted buckling,25,000.00 for a fullblood boer painted doeling, from the breeder we buy our foundation stock from, she sells fullblood saanen bucklings for 35,000.00 pesos and 40,000.00 for saanen doeling. In our area we have paid 3,500.00 pesos for a upgraded doe and 1000.00 for upgraded doelings. One has to understand that it cost money to farm and goats like any other livestock requires care and attention, this all adds to the asking price.Your main concern is to buy the very best that one can afford, start from there,do your homework.
