LIVESTOCKS / SWINE / Re: times per day one can feed their hogs

Feeding them is base on the appetite of the animal and their capacity.
For backyard it is about 3 times a day, that's the usual.
When you feed them you need to monitor them. If they finished their food instantly them give another serving of food. You have to do it every feeding time.
The caretaker should watch them during feeding time because this is the time they can see who is sick, eats well, if the animal needs another serving of food etc..
Don't forget also to give plenty of water.

Firewall is a software or hardware that permits, deny etc data which comes in or goes out of our computer.
Windows xp has a built in firewall. But if you are not satisfied with it you could try other firewall.
Currently what i am using is zone alarm and so far i'm satisfied with it.

Hello, hog prices would always vary weekly and depending on an area.
If liveweight in farm is around 80-86, backyard is around 70-75 at this time.
Usually deadweight is around 95-105 pesos.

Silage is given here for fattening cattle, usually big cattle ranch do this.
They use a big plastic to cover all the grasses so it will ferment. IN other country they use silo or a tank where they put all the materials.
From a far it looks like a black hills and inside it is the silage

The philippine is a pork loving country. Most of our produce are being consumed here. Just imagine the philippines has about 80 million people who eat pork.
We cannot export yet to other country because our pork is much expensive compared to other country.
But there are now companies that are trying to go global. Hopefully they will open the doors for the export of hogs.

Yup beef is expensive.
The market is not yet that saturated. The one thing that most people don't like with this is that you need to take care of it for a year and also looking for feedlot is a bit hard now a days.
another very promising area is dairy cattle. About 90% or 99% (i can't remember the exact figure) of our milk in the market is imported. So that is the area that a local dairyman could fill.
