67  LIVESTOCKS / SWINE / Re: Proper Feeding on: March 07, 2008, 02:22:33 PM
Okey lang po ba makipagdeal sa middleman? nag try po kasi ako sa kanila pero ang kuha daw nila ng kada kilo ay 66 pesos.
68  LIVESTOCKS / SWINE / Re: lets see!!! on: March 07, 2008, 02:06:02 PM
It is okay not to cut the tail. CUtting of the tail is done to prevent future tail biting from one another especially if they are bored.

Sa mga commercial po ba na napasukan nyo, nagpuputol ba sila ng buntot o hindi?
69  LIVESTOCKS / SWINE / Re: Proper Feeding on: March 07, 2008, 02:01:47 PM
Yup at 3,600 the average should be 85 kgs. Currently piglets cost around 1,800 now.
So, in backyard cost would be around 5,400++ (excluding labor and meds)

5,400/85 kgs= 63.52 per kilo break even.

70  LIVESTOCKS / SWINE / Re: lets see!!! on: March 07, 2008, 01:45:22 PM
Doc Nemo okey lang ba kung hindi putulin ang buntot ng mga biik? Sa amin kasi pag hindi putol ang buntot sasabihin nila na native ang baboy na inaalagaan mo.

Doncorlene:
Personally,I have never heard of someone adding baking soda to the goats water, its possible. Most people add it to the concentrates.Baking soda also works to prevent bloat in goats.Goats love molasses, try adding baking soda and molasses with their feed.
Good Luck:
Support The Goat:

My goats only eat grass, leaves etc. and drink water mix with salt and lactating feeds. So how can i put the baking soda for them to eat? That's why i'm asking you if it's okey if i mix baking soda to the water for them to be drink. Maybe i should try the molasses and baking soda with their feed.
72  LIVESTOCKS / CATTLE, CARABAO, GOAT & SHEEP / Re: doncorleone:answer to your ? on: March 04, 2008, 10:35:22 AM
Doncorleone:
how are your goats doing?did you get them dewormed yet?stay on top of the deworming to keep them healthy.
Support The Goat:

Yes. I drenched my kid by valbazen, i bought a internal/external deworm injectable that is also use for pigs and goat for it is double purpose. The label in the box is IVERMECTIN and the name of the bottle is IVOMETIN.
73  LIVESTOCKS / Small ruminant (sheep and goat) / Re: Castration for goat on: March 03, 2008, 06:46:39 PM
It is a good management plan to add baking soda with their feed.Whethers are prone to urinary problems.
SUPPORT THE GOAT:

Hey Mikey, if the goat did not eat the baking soda with their feed, is it okey if i put the baking soda on the water for them to be drink? or is it possible the drenching of baking soda mix with water?
