IN livestock it is more of preventive medicine. So deworming is done in regular interval whether it is positive or negative from parasite.

Just always remember that when deworming you need to give a another shot 2 weeks after the initial dose.

If given  a choice they will choose.

It would affect the quality but i cannot be certain whether for good or for bad.

The nice thing about using only one brand in a certain stage of the animal you could determine whether that line of feed at that stage is giving you a good result.

I have seen some raisers that uses pre starter and starter feeds of a premium brand and then when the time comes to shift to grower and finisher feeds they shift to another brand because they say the grower of this brand have a better performance compared the other brand.

NCD= new castle disease
IB = infectious bronchitis
IBD= infectious bursal disease

Although kung konti lang naman ang kanilang alaga i don't think na economical ang bakuna.

Kung sa kanilang alaga ay mayroong sinisipon maaari silang magbigay antibiotic tulad ng tetracycline, amoxicilllin, etc.  follow the instruction na lang manufacturer ng gamot kalimitan ito ay nakasaad sa likod ng eteketa.

Iron for piglets.

Iron is given in piglets at 3 day of age.

Piglets needed supplemental iron because of the current farm practice that we do now a days.

Years back when pigs are still pastured/ roaming,  iron supplemental is not required because piglet can get the iron from the ground.

The sow’s milk only give around 1 mg of iron per day and feed creeping can give additional iron to them.

There are two concentration of iron in the market.  One is 100 mg/ml and the other is 200 mg/ml

The piglet should be given 2 ml of iron if the concentration is 100 mg per ml .
If the concentration is 200 mg/ml the animal should be given 1 ml only.

If the animal is already eating solid diets the booster shot of iron at 10 days in not necessary unless you seen paleness in the animal.

I still prefer the manual type baskula/vaskula.

So, until middleman would start to give premium for quality standard will not yet be establish.
