Re sa rectal prolapse, sometimes bumabalik po ito ng kusa as long na naaaddress ang nagccause nito. Sa akin po eh pinapractice kong ibalik ang prolapsed rectum. Cold compress is good pero ako i use luke warm water with sugar para madaling umimpis ang pamamaga. Then try to give parenteral antiobiotics.

Is Porcine Intestinal Adenomatosus the same with rectal prolapse (parang almoranas)?
We have a piglet (2 mos.) with a rectal prolapse..
A technician who visited our farm told us to to give a cold compress like ice to the prolapse rectum..
Is it okay? Is there anyway we can do to the prolapse rectum? We're afraid that if the prolapsed rectum turns black, we needed to dispose the piglet already?
Please do help us with the necessary solution..

I have read all your sentiments and experiences with hog raising.. My uncle and aunt bought a farm last February.. They told me that I will be in charge in managing the farm, budgeting, marketing and legal terms.. My father is in charge with the operation of the farm (piggery and farming) while my brother is in charge of feeding the pigs and cleaning the pen.. I don't spend most of my time in the farm. But I make sure that I know what's happening everyday. My uncle and auntie supported my college years including my family that's why, even if I only got my allowance in this business, I make it a point that I show them how grateful I am because they helped me and my family. Doing my part in our farm is really hard. I rather choose to clean pig pens or plant crops than doing the managing and budgeting. Especially to the part of decision making because sometimes (or even most of the time) I am always caught in the middle (between my father and my uncle and auntie's side). Even if I didn't took up any business course or hog raising course, I do something to improve my knowledge and skills so that my uncle and auntie would not be disappointed. They always told me to always treat the farm as if it is really mine and to treat it like my baby.. I always prepare the farm records like farm sales and expenses, farm inventory, farm sales record, farm attendance and payroll, breeding operation and so on.. I make it sure that I send it on my auntie's email.. We always have our communication.. I have my Globe and Sun numbers where my auntie could contact me.. I gave all the receipts to them.. They were the ones who contact the feeds and pay most of the time through check. I wanted this farm to prosper to prove to my uncle and auntie that the tuition fee they provide me during my college years are not wasted. And I do love my family. This is the only thing I could do to help them. There were times that I got scolded when my uncle and auntie got mad. There were also times that I wanted to give up and just pursue my career in Information Technology because my allowance is not enough to support my family's necessities. I already worked as a Secretary of the chief librarian and an IT college instructor for my alma mater,  But then maybe this is what God wanted me to do.. I hope that our business will be successful. It is not always that a relative would fund a business, that's why I will try my best to help and make the business prosper.  Even though I am young with this business, I hope some of this could also help and enlighten some of our fellow hog raisers..

Expected date of reheat po is May 30..
Wala naman pong sign na naghiheat po sya..
The only thing we observe is lagi po syang nakaupo, ayaw po niya tumayo kahit po kumakain at umiinom..
Namamaga din po yung butas ng pwet niya?
Ano po kaya ang problem sa gilt namin?
Nagtake po kaya? Buntis na po kaya yun?

Source po ng mga gases na ito ay sa dumi (tae at ihi) ng baboy mismo. Kapag hindi po nalilinis ng ayos ang mga kulungan at hindi maayos ang ventilation ng building, nagkakaroon po ng build up ng mga gases na ito. One way of checking kung may problema kau sa aspect na ito, pagpumasok po kayo sa kulungan eh maamoy nyo agad ito. Masakit sa ilong at nakakairita sa mata ang amoy. Kaya tulad po sa tao kailangan mamaintain ang clealiness ng pen at maayos ang ventilation ng building. Most of the time naooverlook ito ng mga mangangalaga especially sa backyard farming.

Icheck nyo din po kung may pamamaga ng mga joints kasi pede din po ito magcause ng pamimilay or hindi makatayo. Tulad po ng sinabi ni doc nemo, antiinflammatory is indicated sa ganitong cases. Pwede din po magpigay ng oral or parenteral antibiotic for bacterial infection sa mga joints like Hps infection.

More on mngt aspect po kapag may mga tinatawag na sore eyes ang mga baboy. Usually po eh mataas na ammonia and other noxious gases sa loob ng kulungan ang nagcacause nito. Ito din sumisira sa lining ng respiratory tract ng baboy which can lead to respiratory diseases sa baboy. Ang pagkakaroon po ng ganito sa mata ng baboy ay usual indication po na may infection sa upper respiratory tract ng baboy.

I also noticed that when the LW is low the buyers tend to buy the fatteners with weight ranging from 70 - 80..
When the fatteners are already ranging from 90 and above they request to lessen the price..
Same thing with the fatteners are weighing less than 70, they asked to lessen the price..

29 of our fatteners were sold yesterday for LW=95.
We hope that next month we could sell the next batch of fatteners (21) to a good selling price..
