a 100 sow farm will produce 150 fatteners per month. yeah average na yan or 1800 pig per year.
Mortality less than 10% sa piglets/nursing and less than 6 percent sa fattening stage.
ok pala mag piggery sa bulacan less than 16% ang mortality. sa iyong farm ba ito doc?

Yeah, swine in bulacan is profitable the only drawback is that spread of disease is also fast.
Swine farm and backyards are always in close proximity from one another. So, if one farm is hit by a disease chances are it will spread also into the backyard level.
kaya pala 100 sows = 150 fattener sa bulacan ave na ba ito in 1 year? hindi nga namin makaya yan dito sa mindanao. ibig sabihin niyan mababa ang mortality rate ng bulacan.

if you have a 100 sow it means you will have 150 pigs per month for slaughter(minimum). At this level the minimum profit would be/should be at 20 per kg.
150*85kg*20=255,000 per month
wow 100 sows = 150 fattener . very good bizniz in bulacan parang 1000 sows = 1500 fatt = 2,550,000 a month

Dr. Nemo, lets say i find the fish meal in Cebu,if I increase the protein part by 1 kg. every other month this should be okay,I am wondering if 1 can give the hogs too much protein?? Good Day Doc. mikey
minimum fishmeal requirement for piglet 5 to 8 % only. you should also check your feed ENERGY all ingredients must be cooked first. This is to help in the proper digestion of the food.
it's not true you can feed pig in raw

Not all company have the same protocol/ agreement style. So read carefully the contract/agreement before signing.
Worse thing, if you fail to reach the agreed F.C.R. (Feed Convertion Rate), you have to pay penalty instead. So that would even mean, you paying them instead of them paying you. That's my true experience with poultry contract growing that's why I had to resort to piggery. that's number one problem FCR. what if they gave you LOW DENSE feeds. i have frens who has contract with monterey (pig) , swift , magnolia , vitarich and etc..... (chicken). they say they dont have control on feeds and they dont know what the ingredient of the feeds. last 3 months monterey slaugther personnel told me that there pig (contract grower produce) are FAT compare to other commercial hog farmer pig.
