Mycoplasma Booster and Hog Cholera first dosage at the same time ? Pag di allowed, puede ba
maurong ng 3 days ang MH booster  say sa 24th day old ? Kasi po ang dosage ng HCV ay 21 days at 42 days (booster)  as per manufacturer?

Vitamins supplementation na lang sila kung hindi naman madalas ang pag ubo.

Ska nalang sila injection if alang pagbabago at lumalalapa yun condition ng animal

Meron kaming isang inahin na inuubo sa ngayon. Ang inahin ay 70days pregnant na for first parity.
Yesterday, we vaccinate e. coli bacterin. Iyong coughing ay madalang naman at di sunod sunod, tapos di maubos
ang feeds na binibigay. Ano kaya ang mabisang gamot para dito kay bawal ang mag injection ng antibiotic?

The best po is to look for a vet near your area para ma-asses ang animal.

If there is no available vet you could start to medicate your animal with antibiotic like tylosin, tiamulin,  lincomycin, or tetracycline.

Usually in cases there is no appetite na ang animal i use injectable antibiotic and give powder antibiotic to those animal which are not sick.

1) Ask ko lang po, kung how many days after farrowing na puede na paliguan ang inahin?

2) At kung puede na paliguan ay dapat alisin ang mga biik sa farrowing pen?
    Di kaya ang pag alis ng biik sa farrowing pen ay nagdudulot ng stress sa biik which
    causes sa pagtatae ng mga biik? Ano kaya ang magandang gawin para iwas stress
    at pagtatae ng biik?

Meron naka pagsabi sa akin na ang discarded automobile tires ay puede
gawin pakainan ng mga weaners ? Hatiin daw ito para magawang pakainan
ng mga biik. Ok ba ang idea na ito at it will not affect any health problems sa
mga biik considering that the tire is made of rubber?

Doc, bakit po ba di maiiwasasn ang pagtatae ng mga biik everytime we shifted feeds to the next stage ?
WE have 3 batches na nakaranas nito. It happens during the shifting of booster to pre-starter and pre-starter to starter. Cooperative Commercial Feeds naman ang gamit namin. 2 x a week naman kami naga disinfect sa kulungan at completo naman ang meds ng mga biik from Day 1- Day 35. Doc, baka may recomended ka na gamot na mas epektibo para pag nag shift to the next stage ng pagkain ay matibay na ang sikmura ng mga biik ? Currently we are using Univet for 3 batches and  Bayer for the 4 batch. Salamat.

Proper Shifting feeds

Ang pagpapalit ng feeds ay ginagawa sa dalawang kadahilanan.:
1)   Paglipat sa susunod na baiting/stage ng pagpapakain.
2)   Paglipat ng ibang brand o produkto.

Dapat na tandaan na sa paglipat ng feeds ay kailangan gawin itong gradual.

Halimbawa:

Kung ang inyong alaga ay pinapakain nyo ng prestarter at ito ay ililipat na sa starter feeds ito ay dapat nyong gawin

1.   Unang araw : Maghalo ng 75% prestarter at 25% starter feeds. Ang ganitong combinasyon ang ang inyong ipakain sa kanilang alaga sa tuwing papakainin ang baboy
2.   Pangalawang araw: Maghalo ng 50% prestarter at 50 % starter.
3.   Pangatlong araw: Maghalo ng 25% prestarter at 75 % starter.
4.   Pang apat na araw:100% starter na.

Kung ikaw naman ay lilipat ng ibang brand kahit na parehas ng stage ng pagpapakain ay dapat ganito rin ang pagpapakain.

Ito ay ginagawa upang maiwasan ang pagtatae o paninibago ng baboy sa pagkain.

Proper Shifting feeds

Shifting of feeds is due to two reason:

1.   Shifting to the next stage of the feeding program.
2.   Changing from one brand to another.

We must always remember that shifting feeds should be done gradual.

Example:

If your animal current feed is prestarter and you are shifting it to starter this is what you should do:
1. First day:  Mix 75% prestarter and 25% starter feeds. This combination should be given to the animal every meal.
2. Second day: Mix 50% prestarter and 50% starter.
3. Third day:  Mix 25% prestarter and 75% starter.
4. Fourth day:  Give 100% starter.

If you are shifting from one brand to another whether it is the same stage or not you must follow the same procedure as above.

This is primarily done to prevent diarrhea and to prevetn upset stomach to the animal.

Talaga ba na hindi maiwasan ang bansot na biik ?
3 inahin naman nag farrow ng 11,13.14 piglets.
I noticed that those nag timbang ng less than 1 kilo
ay maging bansot na ito at hindi tumatagal ang buhay.
Paano kaya maiwasan ang pagsilang ng inahin ng bansot na biik?
Is there any medication ba na dapat ibigay sa inahin during pregnancy/gestation period ?

Hi Doc,
Ewan ko kong tama ang ginawa namin sa sa pag bigay ng gamot sa inahin namin.
1 week before nagwalay nag inject kami ng Vit.ADE. Then during weaning nagbigay
kami ng Ivermectin at Coforta. Payat kasi sa tingin namin ang inahin.
Then sa mga kulig naman ay Ivermectin at Belamyl. Tama ba ito Doc ?

in 1 year umaabot ng 4 times.
deworm bago pakastahan at ideworn 10 araw bago manganak. as loob ng sang taon 2 beses manganganak at papakastahan ang inahin kaya umaabot ng 4 na beses ka nagdeworm.

Sa kulig nagdedewrom 1 week pagwalay tpos deworm after 2 weeks. Pero minsan kung nagagawa mo naman ang deworming sa inahin palagi at laging malinis ang kulungan kahit isang beses na lang sa kulig.

in 1 year a sow is being dewormed 4 times.

1 week before breeding and 10 days before farrowing. a sow will be bred and will  farrow 2 times a year.

in piglets you could deworm 1 week after weaning then booster after 2 weeks. But you follow 4 times deworming in sow and you disinfect your pen regularly you could opt for 1 deworming for piglet only.

I forgot to tell you that this incident also happens last year
when we place 7 piglets also for fattening with 1 mortality in this pen.
This case now, they are 9 and 1 mortality again..
