middleman/viajero earned 7 to 10 pesos net. i also tried shipping hog to manila . huwag lang masyado mapaniwala sa bola ng mga middleman/viajero . careful careful on credit system. maraming viajero/middleman on running condition they will not pay you at the end of the day.hindi ba ninyo na pansin na mas mayaman na ang buyer ng baboy compare sa hog owner and mas matapang pa ang buyer kaysa hog owner. kung hindi ka bababa ng presyo they gonna import pork meat and they will use your money to buy kaya huwag mag pa utang talaga. Department Stores term (SM ,Macro ,Robinson and etc...) 7 to 45 days , Processors term 30 to 45 days (Pampro ,Pampi ,monterey , purefoods, sunpride and etc....) pero sure buyer ito . never sell hog to viajero/middleman on 7to 15 days term they will just gonna use your money on there other business

Sir Slyfox,
Do you it in a regular basis?
Hindi ba problem ang mga government men? Medyo yun mga under the tables?
wala naman problema sa hog farmer. i dont know sa viajero side naman kasi once nilabas na nila ang baboy sa farm cargo na ng viajero lahat ang expenses pati dead pig sa truck it's there loss already. Gensan (including tacurong, uppervalley n cotabato) sell 45 to 50,000 hds a month to visayas and luzon. all are ship out

Actually bawal nga tlaga yun carcass weight/dead weight/sabit ulo ang ibebenta kasi hindi nakikita minsan ng mga inspector yun animal basta nalang kinakatay kung saan saan.
Medyo maluwag lang minsan.
other term for estimate/bultuhan is mata-mata

----------------- English version
Liveweight system= The price of the animal depends on the live weight of the animal on the scale.
Deadweight/sabit ulo= The entrails/ internal organs of the animal is removed and then the carcass is weigh. The price per kilo of the carcass is much more higher than the liveweight.
Estimate/sabit ulo=The pigs are priced according to what the buyer and the sellers have agreed upon. Usually sellers are in the losing side in this system. dito sa mindanao hindi deadweight ang tawag namin sa sabit ulo baka mahulog yan sa double dead mahirap na hehehehehehe BAN kaagad ng BAE . carcass weight ang term ng mga big processors

Dear Doc Nemo, Good Day. As a beginner on piggery business. I would like to ask about the timing of the buyer to acquire our fatteners (slaughter pigs). Suppose to be the fatteners will not be given feeds and water for the whole day as instructed by the buyer before they come to weigh the pigs. It so happen that my caretaker forgot to cut- off or close the water line in the morning and only do so after lunch. At 3pm when the buyer comes they found out that water was dripping out in the nipple drinkers. So they refuse to weigh the pigs and tells my caretaker that they will just come back the following day at 7am.
My questions are: "Are there losses incurred in the live-wieght kilo of the fatteners due to fasting for almost 24 hours?" Did we make mistakes for selling the fatteners the following morning?" 25 heads are involved.
Thanks,
Nick S.
ganyan na talaga sa luzon meron fasting . 4 to 5 kilos daw ang resiko niyan kapag nakakain sabi ng mga buyer . but here in mindanao walang fasting fasting bro

Slyfox, already use urea for our goats,no more than 10% but we mix it in their drinking water.Right now we are too spread out,too many different animals going on a once. The hogs will have to wait for some time yet,the goats are getting a upgraded barn,That story I was reading about using sweetpotato, already in use through out Asia including the Philippines, did not say where in the Philippines it is used as hog chow, somewhere there.Have been growing tangtong since 2005 and feed it to the breeding sows, raw, chopped up,we are lucky we grow our own corn, the plan is to take the tangtong and turn it into silage, cook and dry the corn meal will now become dm,add the urea, calicum, salt and molasses,as the hogs grown cut back on the tangtong and urea and add more corn and ricebran. The story did say that you can cook it if you wanted too, silage just seems easier to manage, cooking is a everyday job.The major problem I see in homemade chow is location, every location would have different feedstufs that one can use, knowing which ones one can use is the problem From everything I have been reading, not impossible to mix up your feeds, just needs some fine tuning. This plant sounds interesting I have been reading about Malunggay (mothers best friend),will increase milk production, and also contains alot of vitamins, grows all over our place, free for us to harvest the leaves and dry in to dm. Later: mikey Independant Producer Region 7
KANGKONG.anyway how many sows you have ?
