If you can recall, we have 1 gilt, 80 days of pregnancy, ay nadulas at napipilay ngayon
ang kanan paa sa hulihan at di makatayo for almost 1 week na. Nadulas ito sa gestation pen
dahil siguro sa pagtayo kahit may sugat ang kaliwang paa sa unahan at hirap itukod ito.
We injected already antibiotic (Amoxicillin) and after 3 days we injected naman anti inflamatory
( Dexamethasone ). As of now, sinusubuan lang ng tubig at pagkain. If and ever makatayo ito,
ano kaya ang mangyayari sa mga unborn piglets considering those injections given ?
Is this gilt is still qualified for breeding or we have to decide to cull ?

Aside from making "kapa" to the pigs to determine its body temperature, can we
use a thermometer to determine if the pigs has fever ? Please teach us how to do it and
what are the procedure and process.

Actually it is not the rain but it is the temperature. If it is too cold animals are susceptible to diseases and decrease immune response. Same as humans pag malamig prone tayo sa ubo at sipon. And when this happen the vaccine will not work on its full potential because most of the energy of the animal is being used to maintain its body temperature and not to elicit/produce immunity for the animal.

Meron kaming 1 f1 na ni rebreed after 21 days kasi lumandi ito for her 2nd parity.. After that 2nd rebreeding
it is her 21st day today and my caretaker notice this morning na meron discharges of
clear fluid liquid ( like semen after magbarako)coming out from her vulva. No sign of heat as of now.
Matuloy kaya ang pagbuntis nito. Ito yong sinasabi ko noon sau na 3x namin ni rebreed for her 1st parity which gives 14 litters but 4 were mummifed fetus. 48 hrs after her farrowing on 1st parity we injected lutalyse.

synthetic breed in simple terms yun bloodline ng kanilang pigs.

Ex dalland, it is a synthetic breed with a bloodline of landrace largewhite, although the exact proportion is a trade secret.

In essence if you say synthetic breed it is equal to brand name or hybrid.Although usually the full potential of the synthetic breed  can be attained if you will mate it with the same/ recommended synthetic breed of the company. In short sa kanila ka rin bibili ng barako.

But it doesn't mean if you will use other boar that it will produce inferior piglets. Still you will have a superior piglets but not as superior as those  from mixing the recommended breed.

Doc, 7 sows are in gestating period of which 3 will give birth by the end of this month. Is it ok to give penicllin
to them in feeds or water? or electrolytes na lang?

Possible cause is Hog cholera, swine influenza or PRRS, ilan lan ito.

Better to consult your MAO (munincipal agricultural office)especially sa mga cases na ganyan.
Bihira mamatay ang fatteners and especially yun mga inahin.

Give oral antibiotic to all your animals whether they have symptoms or not. Start with penicillin muna.

Meron kaming isang Fattener aged 126 days na namatay at di ko alam kong ano ang sakit nito.
Ang sabi ng  caretaker namin nag start coughing ito mga madaling araw last Saturday. Then ng umaga na he  transferred the fattener to another pen at sabay inject ng Baytril. Sunday morning around 11am habang nag
papaligo at naglilinis ng ibang baboy ay nakita na lang nya na patay na ang fattener. Indi nya mapaliwanag kong anong sakit ito kasi alam ko walang baboy na namamatay dahil lang sa ubo. Ano kaya ang possible cause sa biglang pagkamatay ng baboy considering na malaki na ito? Nag disinfect kami agad ng mga kulungan at nagbigay ng electrolytes. Ang nasa isip ko ay ang pagbago-bago ng panahon (init tapos ulan).

What is synthetic breeding ? May nagsabi sa akin na ang nabili kong 3 gilts sa malaking
at kilala na breeding farm ay synthetic  breeding daw, kasi ito ang program ng kilalang farm daw.
And if ever it is synthetic breed, maging maayos ba ang slaughter pig nito? Thanks.

Ang isa naming biik ay 45 days old na at ang sugat nito sa pusod simula ng putulin ang umbilical cord
sa pagkaanak ay di pa na cure until now. Ito ang available na gamot sa piggery at alin dito dapat ibigay
namin ? Amoxcillin , Steclin and Dexamethasone. How many ml ba ? Salamat again.
