Looks like supply is getting scarce or just because of bigger demand. Bidders price is now 90/kg.

LIVESTOCKS / SWINE / Re: Swine manual/book raffle

I am interested in joining your scheduled raffle regarding the swine manual/book. I am a long-time OFW based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and I plan to be home for good soon, so I could give more attention to our newly-established livelihood projects. Should my name be picked during said raffle, I assure you that a lot of our ordinary kababayans will be benefitted from it as I am as well an Officer of our Multi-Purpose Cooperative. My name is: TONY R. MONTERAS and my address is: Lupac, Boac, Marinduque - 4900, Philippines. Thanks & GOD BLESS! I wish to take this chance also to greet you all - HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Tony, kumusta ka na bro. Si Gener ito naka team mate mo sa tennis dyan. Here in the Philippines, medyo nasabak din ako sa farming. I have a pilot project with 35 sows, hoping to increase it to 50 by year end. Dito pwede tennis araw-araw. Ang pahinga pasyal sa piggery. You're on the right track bro. It's a profitable business, basta tamang ingat. Greetings!
I have this 3 semi reject swine manual/book (missing 3 pages) and rather than destroy it or sell it i will just raffle it and insert the 3 missing pages.
Mechanics:
Just post in this topic to be eligible to join.
Tentative date of raffle is December 31, 2007.
How the raffle will be done: I will designate a number to every poster (one number per person only) and if your number was pick the manual/book will delivered to you.
There will be no charge for delivery. Everything will be free as long as the address is here in the Philippines.
Thank you.

LIVESTOCKS / SWINE / Re: Proper Feeding

Ang total direct cost ko Doc naman to be honest, abot ng P5170 per head. That includes feeds from booster to finisher, medi vacs and vits, amortization of sow purchase cost, a.i. cost, feeds eaten by gestating sow from day 1 till lactating, amortization of purchase cost of bulugan. Of course excluding indirect costs. So, we really have to make sure our harvest weights an average of 85 and farm gate price should not be lower than P80/kg.
Comparing it with your estimated 3,600 hindi tayo nagkakalayo. If piglet production costs 1,500 then 5100 ang total.

Not all company have the same protocol/ agreement style. So read carefully the contract/agreement before signing.
Worse thing, if you fail to reach the agreed F.C.R. (Feed Convertion Rate), you have to pay penalty instead. So that would even mean, you paying them instead of them paying you. That's my true experience with poultry contract growing that's why I had to resort to piggery.

Wow that really sucks phills is just a dumping ground then?People dont die or get sick?if so people dont care?as long as its cheap?
Some die, some get sick. They would rather eat and die later rather than die and never eat again. sad reality. I can't elaborate any better than that Doc.
