Mikey & Mr.hog, Surrender or die, hehehehehehe. Same dreams guys, that's why I decided to give it a try in the philippines. If again things go on the opposite direction? well back here in Canada again.
Definitely learning from you guys. As you guys said start small until you get it perfect but if I run out ammo. until I succeed again back in Canada save again, at least second time around you know what to do.

Mr.Hog,I understand what you mean. I started sort of a business back in PI 2 years ago which my brother-in-law was the one running it, I supporte him with cash and education (training), everytime I called he said everything was OK then I went home last year in a short notice that I found out everything I told him to do was only half done. I told him that I don't want to continue the business and he begged to give him another chance but I refused, worst case my father-in-law also got mad at me to the point that he chased me out of the house. What I'm saying is its hard to let somebody run your business. Now, what I'm going to do as I said The whole family will go back to the PHILIPPINES (wife &2 kids)and do business myself leaving my RN job behind here in Canada, worst case scenario if things go wrong in PI will just go back here toronto and find another RN job.

Mikey, I'm not sure what's going on. there might be an underground movement going on or Filipinos just eat to much PORK. Mikey, just to ask if you don't mind me asking, what's your opinion about contract grower?. If I have to start my own piggery what should I consider first,Breeding or Fattening?lastly do you have any pictures of your building design that includes the inclosures/forrowing cage and the cages as a whole.Pardon me of my piggery language because I'm still trying to familiarize them.(boar, gilt, forrow, sow etc). Thanks Robbie Sara, welcome to the club,Canada produces approx. 12 million hogs per year, the biggest export market is Japan. The Philippines produces approx. 10 million hogs per year with little to no export markets.WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE. Good Farming Everyone mikey

Mikey, I guess those are Gov. Pinol of kidapawan. Doc, Region 12 will be exporting live goats to the Middle East this month, good news for the goat industry as a whole. This may help make the Phillipines a goat export nation. mikey

Thanks To be honest im not into poultry but to give you an idea:
The FCR(yun dami na pagkain para tumimbang sila ng isang kilo) of poultry is around 1.8 kgs. Current cost of day old chicken is around 23-28 pesos. average cost of feed per kilo is 15-22 pesos.
So if you're target weight is around 1.6 kgs you need around 2.88 kgs of feeds (1.6kg x 1.8 feeds).
2.88 * 18 pesos price of feeds(assumption) = 51.84 pesos cost of feed
51.84 price of feeds +28.00 price of chick 10.00 medicine -------- 89.84 total cost production / 1.6 kg target weight
=56.15 per kilo liveweight break evenpoint. All of thisbase on my assumption. Kalimitan kasi ng kilala ko is into contract grower.
In terms naman po sa gusto nila sa nangingitlog na manok. Ang masasabi ko lang po ang laying animal is for expert people or may malaking puhunan. Mas mabilis po kasi ang pagkalugi at pag angat sa business na laying. And medyo sensitive sila sa weather.

May I know if you don't mind me asking, how much would it cost to build a facilty like that. Would you be able to send me a copy of the construction plan especially the feeders (Orange PVC). Thanks. http://www.youtube.com/mikester201
