We are about to breed tentatively on December 30 our gilt. My concern is that
everytime the gilt was injected by either vaccines or vitamins, the following day, we always noticed
that white chalk from the flooring of her gestation pen, which may come from gilt's urine. Pag wala injection ay wala rin ang
chalk, then mawala man lang the following day. Ano kaya ito Doc? Di ko pa na inform ang farm na pinagbilhan ko.


Tungkol naman sa A.I. on my other sow :
I'm not satisfied with the A.I. done by our contact technician. On the 1st parity using our boar it gives 12 litters. The 2nd parity
(last Dec.25, by A.I.) gives only 7 litters. Once lang kasi nag A.I. at di na sinundan at mahal pa ang singil na 1300 ng technician.
Kaya we decided to use our boar, kahit malaki ito puede daw gamitin at gumawa sila ngayon ng rampa para sampahan ng boar.

usually around 5 to 6 months magstart siya unang pag lalandi at sa ika 3 paglalandi mo siya dapat ipabulog. around 7 1/2  to 8 1/2 months naman siya nun.

Yun guidelines kasi na isinesend ko sa email is english.

Hi Doc,
Ang sa akin naman, instead of gestating pen to farrowing , puede ba ang farrowing pen to gestating pen ?
I,m planning to do this in order to save space and money instead of constructing new gestation pen.
Is there any disadvantages on the part of sow ? Anyway, dyan naman sia ilagay during her farrowing,
kasi vacant ito ngayon.

Salamat sa payo mo. Ganun nga talaga ang condition ng mga biik namin everytime we shifted from
pre-starter to starter we cannot avoid sa pagtatae. Sometimes after 2 to 3 days ay nawawala ang pagtatate,
pero minsan ay bumabalik din. Siguro di pa kaya ng bituka nila ang starter.
But as long as the biik ay malakas kumain at masigla , we have nothing to worry and observe muna namin before we
we give medication. Thank you again.

Ang mga biik ay malaks kumain sa binigay namin na required kilos of feeds as per feed company requirements.
Minsan nga ipanabawasan ko ang ration nila  coz I'm thinking nga baka na overfeed lang at nagtatae. Masigla ang mga biik at
wala naman signs na may karamdaman ang mga ito. Worried lang talaga kami pag may nakita kami na nagtatae.

For the pre-starter feeds we give pigrolac.
For the starter feeds,grower and finisher feeds, we give the cooperative feeds
of which Im a member.

So kong ganun, dapat pala kong may nagtatae na biik, ay mag observe muna kami ng ilang days ba
bago kami magbigay ng medication ?

Sir kung malakas kumain ang animal at hindi nman namamayat don't give antibiotic kahit na wet and droopings nito, there are some feeds kasi na during this stage meron tlaga wet feces pero it does not necessary mean na diarrhea siya.

Ano ba sir feed brand nila ngayon?

Hi Doc Nemo,
Everytime we shifted feeds from pre-starter to starter ay nagtatae ng mga biik.We follow
naman ang procedure of how to shift from one feeds to next feeds. 1st day 75% pre-starter and 25% starter.
2nd day 50% pre-starter and 50% starter. 3rd day 25% pre-starter and 75% starter. 4th day full starter.It is on the 3rd day
and 4th day where the biik ay nagtatae at basa at kulay brown o white-brown. Their drinking water ay may electrolytes naman.
Kaya gamot kami ng gamot like and mostly  we injected  Alamycin La and give  Amoxicillin WSP .Ito talaga ang problema namin sa mga stages.
Please help naman kong ano ang magandang gagawin. Thanks.

Doon sa vaccination program ng piglets, itanong ko lang ang hog cholera.
1. Pag naka vaccinate ka na ng initial hog cholera, ilang araw ba ang pagitan bago mag vaccinate ng booster ?
2. Ano po kaya ang mangyari sa health of piglets pag di sinunod ang number of days na pagitan between
initial and booster vaccination ? Salamat.

Good day. Gusto ko lang itanong kong may masamang epekto sa health ng mga baboy kung pinturahan
ko ang mga bakal ng hog pen? Ang mga bakal become rusty. I will use red oxide or metal primer for painting.

Ok Doc Nemo. Gagawa kami ng movable na ramp at palagyan ko lang ng railings
on both sides kay baka madulas sa pagbaba sa farowing pen ang inahin.

cons- bad traits of that animal is also solidified also their is a chance na magkaroon ng birth defect ang succeeding generations.

Hi Doc Nemo,
I have problem with my 10 Fatteners. Most of them are coughing at most time of day and night.
The problems occured when they were in pre-starter stage and up to this time when they
are in grower stage. We have given already the following antibiotics : Sustalin LA, Norotyl LA (Tylosin),
and Gentamycin. Antibiotic in water: Vetracin Gold and Amoxtin and multivitamins injectable.  But all these meds
did not cure the coughing.I suspected that maybe they acquired the desease when they were piglets,
we have given only 1 time for mycoplasma which is respisure one on the 21st day.
Do my fatteners have Pneumonia ? We even try herbal, but to no avail. The fatteners are eating well but the feeds does not
convert into weight. Sa tingin ko magbabansot ang mga fatteners, (siguro pang litsonin na lang ito). Do we still have a remedy ?
This is the 1st time we used respisure one, para sana makaiwas stress sa injection ang mga biik.

Magflush na rin kayo ng antibiotic sa paa nito.

I need your help again. 5 out 12 piglets are may bukol o pigsa sa paa at namamaga pa, malapit
ito sa kuko. Edad ng piglets ay 2 weeks at hirap lumakad at ang iba di na makadede sa ina.
 Nagturok na kami ng Sustalin last 10/20 at di pa gumaling, kaya pinaturukan ko ulit kanina ng
Sustalin naman.
Ano kaya ang dahilan at saan nila nakukuha ito ? Maayos naman ang flooring ng farrowing pen
at panay naman disinfect ng Virkon-S. Di kaya hereditary ito from their grandfather who died
of complicated deseases at pigsa lang from the start? Pero ok naman ang tatay nila at di naman
nagkabukol o pigsa. Sa ibang Sow nagkaroon din kahit ibang barako ang ginamit namjn.
Ano kaya ang magandang gawin dito ? Sayang din ang 5 piglets kong sakali. Parang di kaya ng Sustalin.
