Looking for Cattle Identification in Nueva Ecija area
«

Hi,
I am a backyard cattle raiser for the past 4 years in Nueva Ecija area and am practicing the so called 'paalaga or paiwi system'. As I see it at some stage it would be difficult for me to identify on which one is mine especially if the number of heads is increasing. That's why I am trying to find an animal ID system. I wander if you know somebody in central luzon or nueva ecija area that is selling an animal ID.
thanks

If you are referring to ear tags you could try big poultry supply in your area. Like Caro, pacifica etc...
Other cattle identification you could use is ear notching. But usually this done when the animal is still young / or newly born
If you want a more hi tech tags you could try to ask Plaridel health if yung chip nila for dog is possible for cattle use.

The problem with ear tags..kasi.parang madali siya mapalitan...or ma-itransfer sa ibang baka.
Baka mamaya..ilipat sa ibang baka na mas pangit yung ear tag mo...he he he..(thats if, kung nagpapa iwi ka..) Pero kung identification inside the corral or ranch..ok lang din.
For me..I would'nt have problem with identification..I think I could easily identify my cattle..until mga 30 to 40 pcs cguro.

Thanks for the inputs . . .yes right now it is still manageable since its just 25 heads . . . just preparing for it when the time comes where the number of heads increases. It would be advisable to have some identification . . .

another is hot branding .
Yung rod na ginagamit/ insignia is dpat registered sa local government. It is like your own brand/sign

yup hot branding i think is the only recommended by the local animal authorities. this is imporant because if your planning to transport, sell or identify a lost cow this is the proof and it should be registered at the BA.
