Here's a design of a small backyard piggery that I made using Google Sketch-up (wala kasing naka schedule na client this morning, kaya eto nalang ang pinag ka abala sa office...hehehe!)
Pic 6 (3/4 view)
Pic 7 (sewage view, maganda rin na may cover sya to discourage flies)
Pic 8 (Notice the sloping flooring para madali mag dry yung sahig)
Pic 9 (yung mga circles say doon nilalagay yung nipple drinkers)
Pic 10 (View ng septic tank, medyo maliit lang ginawa ko para maliit lang yung picture, pero mas maganda if malaki and covered sya para hindi mag reklamo yung friendly neighbors natin)
Important notes:
> at least 7 ft. yung height ng flooring to ceiling (good air quality= healthier pigs)
>sloping floor (dries easily and facilitates easier movement of water outside the pen)
>location of nipple drinkers must be near the waste outlets (para may wet and dry area)
>minimum of 2 nipple drinkers (in case mag malfunction yung isa, ay hindi ma dehydrate yung baboy)
>regularly check nipple drinkers for proper flow rate of water
>insulated roofing (if yero, mas maganda if may insulator para hindi magiging oven yung piggery) nipa and cogon is very good in providing pig comfort, kaso lang, not as durable as yero.
>Apply curtains (in case malamig sa gabi or malakas yung hangin at ulan)
