KUng may meningitis or kahit simpleng septecemia possible itong mangyari.

Tentative diagnosis ko nga po eh PRV or meningitis. Im still goin to check it doc kung may mga naibigay sila.

Tnx Doc.

Personally, no bearing na yun speed ng spread kasi very close proximity sila to one another.
Protocol? ala akung alam na book na meron protocol about disease outbreak. try mo  www.oie.int

Hi Doc Nemo,
It's more than 2 years na kami sa piggery business. At sa experience namin sa breeding side,
iyong mga biik na less than 1 kg kong ipinanganak ay always namamatay the following day after injecting
iron (3rd day) or mycoplasma (7th day) and very seldom ang mabuhay. Kong may mabuhay man ito ay
bansot and we sell it as litsonin.

This is just a theory, possible na sensitive yun breed nyo  sa  iron and mycoplasma. Kung within that two years you are using the same breed malaman nasa breed problem. I say this because nakakaexperience naman ako dati na when i give mycoplasma in this particular sow's piglets nagkakaroon sila ng allergic reaction. While the other breeds walang reaction.

For those piglets na below 1 kg try to adjust the iron and mycoplasma. iron gawin niyong 10 days then ang vitamins is 3 days. ang mycoplasma mag 14 days kahit ala nang booster. Hope this would make survival rate higher.

Hi Doc Nemo. Kasi sinubukan namin
Out of 15 piglets, only 11 now remaining.

Thanks Doc Nemo. Maraming na akong natutunan dito sa forum, of course with your advises mostly.
I have fatteners to dispose as of now.
Ave.wt. is 86kg.

Thanks and God bless po..

Hi Doc,
I bought this at 10k.
Thanks Doc Nemo

Thanks po sa info..
I think most of the piggery farm out there are using this weighing scale, vascula/bascula.
We already had this in our farm but the problem is one of our buyer last May 29 was the one manipulating our weighing scale, I didn't want to argue with her because she is a customer. But the thing is she controls the weighing scale the whole time until all of the 29 head of fatteners were already weighed. All of our buyers just check and observe while the livestock are being weighed except to her. It was the first time that she hauled in our farm (but twice during that day because she hauled in the morning and in the afternoon). She was recommended by a feeds dealer. I don't know her personally but I'm still thankful that they bought our fatteners. Please give me an advice on how to deal with the same situation.. Our other option is to change our weighing scale to a semi automatic/automatic livestock weighing scale so that there will be less interference to human and accurate reading/measurement(digital). Same with this.. http://www.ccscales.com/html/livestock.html But I think it's expensive..

Thanks and God bless po..

IT is not cost effective if you digital scale. Masyado mahal.

It is normal in the backyard that there will only be one that will weigh the animal it is either the owner or the buyer. You just need to agree on the weight. If you think there is discrepancy you could ask if she or he could adjust it more.

Some tips when weighing your animal....

Be sure that the weighing scale is in a flat and solid surface.
Before they weigh an animal, weigh your self and see if it is registering a correct reading.
BE sure also that the Kolon / ipitan ng  baboy and the animal itself is centered in the weighing scale, it will give a more accurate reading.
Don't allow the boy/helper to hold the kolon while weighing the animal, it will give a different result.
