DR. Nemo, one of our anglos died suddenly,he was healthy that day, sometime during the night he cried alot and was shaking,we did change his concentrates, maybe grain overload, goat polio or bloat,I do not think bloat,by the time we bought the drugs for him he was dead, less than 24 hours later, what do you think he died from,he cried.sounds like he was in pain, the shaking not sure of.maybe something else??,anyways we burned him because not sure what he died from, thought this is the best way to dispose of the carcass when one is unsure of the problem.
Good Day To You mikey

The possible thing i could say it is grain overload or bloat. The only change you say that happen is feed intake. You gave it concentrate and sudden change of concentrate specially to corn barley or wheat can cause grain overload. Bloat in the other hand is the most common cause of sudden death in goat.
A third possibility is poisoning but if only one died and everybody received the concentrate then it is not the cause.
Forth possibility is hardware disease, this when a ruminant have eaten nail, wire, etc that pierced its intestine and bleed inside until he die.
Goat polio is not an over night problem it is gradual. It would take maybe days until the animal die or to some does not die at all.
