There will be times when one needs a milk replacer for the kid(s) because maybe one has lost the mother, milk replacer can help but at times the kid(s) will die.One can try this recipe:

1 gallon whole milk or 4 litres
1 cup milk powder s/b buttermilk, add some lemon juice to make it a little sour.
1 12 oz. can evaported milk

Bottle Feeding:
1-2 days old-1/2 cup gradually change to 3/4 cup,4 feedings daily
3-7 days old-1 cup gradually change to 1 1/4 cup,3 feedings daily
1-2 weeks old-1 1/2 cup gradually change to 1 3/4 cup.,3 feedings daily
2-6 weeks old-2 cups gradually change to 2 1/2 cup,2 feedings daily
6-8 weeks old-2 1/2 cups,2 feedings daily
try to keep an equal number of hours between feedings, gradually substitute water for a portion of the milk to wean.

Substitute Milk Replacer
1 quart dairy goat milk or canned or pasteurized fresh
1/3 cup whipping cream
300 mg. supplemental calcium
Shake well before each use.Feed at the rate of 1oz. per 1./4lb. of bodyweight per 24 hours, divided into 3 or 4 feedings.
