Fertile male goats have a strong smell during the breeding season and urinate on their beards to impress the females.Castrated goats will not be able to accidentally breed with your other goats. There are problems with castrated goats.URINARY CALCULI:is when the urethra gets blocked up with mineral deposits and the urine cannot pass through it,without medical attention the goat will die. Some believe you should wait until your kid is 10 weeks old to castrate him if possible.Other preventions you should pratice include:
)-feed a ratio with 2:1 calcium to phosphorus ratio
)-plenty of water and excerise, keep water in the shade if hot outside
)-have salt available
)-daily check to make sure he is urunating easily without straining and has no blood in his urine.
