Be sure the kid(s) gets colostrum early.Colostrum cantains antibodies which gives the kid temporary protection against diseases to which the doe was subjected.Feed colostrum as quickly as the kid will nurse to gain the greatest benefit from antibodies.Newborn kids need this first feeding of colostrum or will die,if needed use day-one-cow colostrum.pay extra attention to sanitation, raise the kid away from other goats until it is several weeks old and is better able to resist infection. For those able to freeze extra colostrum, this is the best choice, thraw to body temperature when needed.
