What is the most common type of truck in the Philippines for hauling hogs??does it have 2 floors or just 1 floor??how large of a truck does one need to haul 90 hogs?50 hogs?are we talking about something like a 5 ton with 2 floor levels and metal sides or 1 floor level,or something like a semi tractor with a stock trailer?or does it really matter what size it is??What is the law reguarding the weight limits on hauling livestock??example a 1 ton truck is rated for 2,500 lbs.3 ton rated for 7,500 lbs.5 ton rated for 12,500 lbs.Huh

Mr Hog,well its not rocking yet just some small waves lol. There is a public market with weight scales and someone records all the livestock sales down the road from us,like miles down the road, all livestock sold by the kg.we would need a truck to haul the hogs there on Saturdays. Not many trucks in our town, the mayor owns most of them, not interested in renting us a truck and driver, their trucks used for hauling copra and bananas etc.they do not want livestock in their trucks, fair enough.I am not sure how big of a truck one needs for 100 or 50 hogs, would haul goats too.A 1 ton truck would not hold alot of hogs??Like Doc. said ,if they are packed in too tight they will jump out, dead hog all over the highway.I am not sure may be a 1-3 ton truck would be good enough??Slyfox talked about a van that hold 90 hogs, wonder how big this truck is?? A 5 ton or what?

I don't know about trucks but to give some idea a closed jeep can hold 10 pigs.

You can make a truck double decker just be sure to enclose it.

You need also to ask your local government about permit for your truck for hauling.
You need also to ask a veterinary certificate everytime you will transport hogs ( in bulacan that is what is being done not sure if it also applies in your area)
Some area you also pay for a road tax yearly.

130 to 150 hds ten wheeler truck modified six wheel truck extended body double deck  , 87 to 100 hds isuzu forward or mitsubishi fighter with extended body double deck  and 50  to 60 hds isuzu elf or mitsubishi canter extended body double deck also.

problem of owning a truck is the maintainance. it is much better to rent a truck/jeep
