After mamate less lang ang ipapakain.

Lactation is given usually around 86 days pregnant na ito, as per recommendation of most feed manufacturer.

Sir base po ito sa recommendation ng feed manufacturer, pero in your own case, or may i say in your experience, sinusunod nio po ung 86 days?

Doc Nemo,

Good day! My sow just gave birth for the first time and has 13 piglets. She has less milk. Would like to know what to give to add to her milk production. Been giving her lactating feeds already since before birth.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks

Increase the water supply of the sow and increase also the feed intake. usually you will around 200 grams of feeds for every piglet. If the maintenance feed of a sow is around 2.2 kg they you have 13 piglets multiple by 200 grams= 2.6 kgs. So in total the sow need to eat around 4.8 kgs of feeds per day...

Check your feed supplier kung ganito ang kanilang suggestion. there are some feed manufacturer na ang suggestion is 250 grams per piglet additional feed.

Thank you DOC.

Tama yung sinasabi mo na feed intake (increase). ang sabi sa vet mga 5 kilos a day ipakain sa sow. Can you give me more info on feed index such as you gave me. I did not know that there are computations per piglet. the vet just told me to increase without any explanation. Are there other advise that I should know regarding my sow and piglets....

thank you so much, You have been very helpful.

So far yun lang naman ang basic ng feeding.

In terms of piglets, you need to give creep feeding to it when it is around 5 days old. Small portion of feeds lang until masanay siyang kumain ng feeds. To do this you first to wet some booster feeds then ipahid mo ito sa dibdib ng inahin. In this way masasanay sila sa lasa ng feeds. Then afterwards you could put small portion of booster feeds sa sarili nilang trough/pakainan.

Thank you DOC. That is what I'm doing. Then maybe we can separate the sow from piglets at an early age as long as kakain na ang mga biik at in good health. Tama ba Doc?

Thanks again

Better to wean at 28-30 days..
Earlier than that baka hindi na maganda ang result.

Kung kasing laki sila ng kuting it is either nagkulang ang kanilang nutrition nung buntis pa ang kanilang inahin or masyadong marami ang anak ng iyong baboy.

Ang habol na pwede nilang gawin is give creep feeding, increase feed intake ng inahin para dumami gatas and kung possible pwede sila magbigay ng additional milk sa kanilang piglet.

Good day po Doc Nemo and fellow swine raisers,
Thanks and God bless po.

sorry i am not familiar sa orbix.

Sino ba nag aai sa kanila ?  Yun nsa cruz na daan ba? Sila Ka eyo?

Sa set up kasi natin  sa province ang magiging batayan lang is yun feedback ng customer na naservisan nila. Add to that pwede din nila itanong kung saang farm galing ang mga barako nila.

Pag walang gana kumain ang baboy usually vitamins muna ang ibinibigay dito.

Ok na po yung gilt.. nakakakain na po ulit.. Salamat po ng marami at God bless po..
