Hi!

I'm an elementary science teacher, And I'm wondering if I could make this endeavor, raising chicken/duck/quail, as an enrichment activity or project for my grade 5 students.

Can I have some expert advise on raising these animals with only a few requirements.
I'm planning on making the students raise two animals per class. With this, I would like to ask for the cheapest possible cost for the materials that we would be needing. Additionally, please advise me on the factors that would affect the success of our activity/project.

Please email me,
Thank you very much!

The cheapest among the said avian is raising quail. The only problem is that it is not that rewarding compared to raising chicken.

You could try to raise free range chicken / native chicken  they more resilient and feed ways you could give them leaf overs.
