Title: Broiler Contract grower
Post by: nemo on May 31, 2007, 03:42:34 PM

Some ask for a minimum of 5t heads. In terms of pen some ask for a tunnel ventilated housing althought there is still some which do allow simple housing.

Contract growing company:, swift, bountyfresh, vitarich, and san miguel.

I will PM you a email address. She is a very good friend of mine working with one of the company above.

Good day Nemo,

Do you have the contact numbers or website contacs for the above mentioned companies?  We cannot seem to find them.  We were able to locate the Vitarich, but not the others?

Also, do you know if any of the mentioned companies has growers in the San Fabian, Pangasinan area? My wifes family has land located there. We are not sure if they would deliver feeds there.

Thank you in advance

Usually as long as you have the minimum requirement they will deliver the feeds.

I will email you an email add to you to contact for this kind of business.

Hello Sir, ask ko lang po kasi may kaibigan akong nakapagsabing by the kilo po yata ang bayaran pag harvest na...magkano? ewan ko, any idea sir about this? sana maliwanagan....thanks :)

I don't know whether it is by the kilo na. What most of the contract grower do is that they give additional if you have surpassed their target weight and fcr. Usually they will give a target and if you attained that they will pay you by the bird ex. 8-10 pesos per bird. And if you exceeded that they will pay additional.

In livestock, one of the main problem is market. To know the market and buyers you have to go to the nearest market and ask around. You must know what is the current liveweight, biyahero's in the area etc.  You could also ask near by poultry raiser's  if they can give contact's. You could also ask feed dealers.

You could also market it directly to restaurant. be the middleman and the raiser at the same time.

Good day, Doc.
I am interested to become a contract grower. Problem is, I am not ready financially to invest in a ventilated tunnel chicken house. Is the ventilated tunnel housing a requirement? Or could I build a traditional one?
My projected area is in Leyte. Thanks.

Good Day Nemo,
Do you know of ACI Feeds, I posted an earlier msg but on the wrong forum in the swine forum.  We were contacted by ACI to use there premium feeds and they gave me a wonderful buy in price to try the feeds and have had no problems and excellent results so far.  they told us that our broiler feeds allow us to harvest at 28 days and they will also buy our stock.  They also have full vetnarian & nutritional support offered in the paperwork they gve us.  It seems ACI supplies the same premium feed to Sr Pedro restaurants, do you know if anyone else has used the ACI feeds.

Sorry havent heard po of the ACI feeds. Anong area po ba sila. Good for you if they will also buy the stock. I assume na reasonable price nila bibilhin ang manok nyo.

Doc Nemo, with contract growing, what should be our criteria in choosing a partner company? Or wala masyado difference and is it just a matter of choosing? Our plan is to talk to at least 2 to check kung may difference nga ba and find out what suits us.  I think our primary concern is the support and guidance of the company.

Can we also get your guide on poultry raising? Gingerborromeo@gmail.com

Thanks :)

these are some contract growing companies:
rizal poultry and livestock corporation
quezon poultry and livestock corporation, lucena city
swift
kfc
foster foods
bounty fresh
san miguel (afaik, only for tunnel ventilated buildings)

i have some contact numbers (not all) of vets in the listed companies. please pm me if interested.

by the way, i am not in any way affiliated with any of the companies above. we do have a broiler farm (commercial).

i think hindi naman ganun kalayo ang kanilang mga requirements and contracts and maraming concern lang is technical. and sa side na ito hindi ko alam kung sino ang masmaalaga sa grupo ng mga companies
