Greetings!

Vitamins is usually given if the piglet is to be wean (walay).

Also, if sudden change of weather occurs or there is extreme weather condition... to hot or to cold then you could give vitamins.

But generally, commercial feeds do have vitamins included so giving vitamins is not necessary.

Doc nemo, i was searching for the effect of introducing vitamins on piglets and i found out some sources in the internet says that introducing vitamins to piglets have no effect in the growth/ performance of piglets , they conclude that injecting of IRON and good quality of sows milk during lactation and proper feeding of creep feeds and prestarter is enough for piglets. So i was wondering if their experiments/conclusion is true?

Everything in excess is either wasted na lang or could lead to another problem.

If for example yun ginamit nilang piglets are consuming enough vitamins and minerals from the feeds itself giving additional or injectable vitamins will not have any additional effect.

We have to remember din kasi na ang creep feeds and milk have vitamins and minerals na. So, field or backyard nakikita ang effect ng vitamins and minerals dahil unlike sa mga farm ang feed ng backyard is generic and not custom made according to their genetics and needs.  If you use a generic feed there would be cases na hindi namemeet ng feed ang requierement ng isang babuyan. Sa mga sitwasyon ganito mas warranted ang pag add ng vitamins and minerals.
